Songs and Worship.

Hey followers:) and anons! how've you all been? ^_^ this is an old post I've had on draft for a while :/ didn't finish!! Anyways here it is complete;

Well tomorrow is another day at church and I wanna share some things I've been reading and working on myself.

Firstly, what are songs and what is worship? Is there even a difference between the two?

Well...yesterday at worship band practice we talked about what worship is.
What is worship to us?
Different members came up with different answers. I thought worship is praising and glorifying His name. I hadn't actually thought on exactly what it was. We concluded that worship is all these things, about lowering ourselves to lift His name higher. Worship is also having a relationship and talking to God. Many things can define worship but then whats the difference between worship and just songs?

A song is a short poem or other set of words set to music or meant to be sung. Meaning it is words to a instrumental. Whats the point?

I believe that you worship whatever you hold dear, sometimes you worship your girlfriend. We are created by God to worship.

In Isiah 43:21 it says;
"The people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise"
Whether we praise God or other earthly things we are given the choice and freedom to do so. Unlike animals who act on their instinct we have priorities and have a will to do things. So when we worship God we are only looking at Him and having an intimate relationship with God.

Saying this, you could ask, then why don't we worship multiple things, we have the time to worship our girlfriend and the time to worship God. But it doesn't work like that, you can only worship one thing, one being, our God. If you have decided not to worship God, then you are worshiping the creation. Our priority in life is what we are worshiping. When we worship, when we love, we begin to take on its characteristics.
For instance, when we worship money, we will be greedy. If we worship pleasure, we will be lustful. But if we worship Jesus, we will be like him.

Our object of worship can only be God. Because he is the only one who is worthy of worship, he is the creator.

So back to the question, the difference in worship and songs. Songs are things we listen to, lyrics and words that are about earthly things; love, hate, gangnam style. It is for self enjoyment and please, it is like worshiping ourselves.

And when we worship God, we are worshiping the creator, the alpha and omega. Our worship will give us great strength and God shall be pleased :) so when we worship in whatever form it may be, don't be ashamed, cause I know I have been quite recently :/

2 Timothy 1:8
"So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God."

HI EVERYBODY, God loves you! :) hehe ♥

Well, I think recently I've been getting signs from God...especially when it's becoming more harder...(exams soon T.T) a list of things that happened recently hehe :D

1) I've continuously been leading on Sunday worships!

2) Even though I am moving next year I am continuously being used by God and it feels like he's preparing me for something big!

3) Speaking of big, a friend of mine I hadn't spoken to in a while had just recently messaged me saying,
"I was praying last time and God suddenly said that he would use you as his leader. :) "
 I was amazed at this, so I asked,
"me?! oh wow! what'd He say?"
She replied,
"yeah, :) you. haha :) I was praying and He told me to pray for you :). so I did and he said that I should 기도해(pray) for you as he will use you!!! :D"
I was so dazed with joy...God is preparing me constantly...and he's given me this big sign! ^^

4) Then another happening happened, I was listening to my brothers iTunes and was on his playlist. And I saw this song called, The Vision - AMP I had heard it a couple times before when I was at my brother's work but I didn't pay attention to the lyrics. It was catchy and a had a nice melody the previous time I listened but this time I searched a YouTube video with lyrics, and found out it isn't very popular with views but it had 100% likes and 0% dislikes. I was astonished at the lyrics. check it out here, you won't regret it.

5) I also had an incident with my new friend she says she feels as though she's not doing enough. She wants to go to her church youth but she's a tad scared because she's done a lot of bad things. I believe she can pull through this dilemma and find her way in Christ! I'll be praying for her and hope you readers can too!
'To have the courage and strength to go to her highly populated youth group and fit in, and seek God.'

6) oh and also I had a request from my youth leader/teacher, she has decided that our youth worship band play the following Sunday while we have a fundraiser for my youth group church camp! We will be like a 'live music worship band' while you enjoy your food :) so if you guys aren't busy, don't mind having a sausage and donating a lil' to my upcoming church camp, then come along next Sunday! the sermon in the morning will be in Korean, and I'll be leading the worship in both English and Korean ^_^ and you can have a seat beside me too! contact me/comment below/talk to me! And I can sort out everything with you! :)

Today I got a thrill of excitement through my spine. This strange feeling has come back and I can't resist but accept it. I've got a new friend :D I don't know why but I haven't had a new friend in so long :/ And this time, it's someone I chose to be friends with. Inspire me?

Hey all you bloggers and anoymous peoples:)) hehe, how has your Sunday been?:) mines been splendid, thanks for asking! :D

Well, lately I've been thinking... I want to make a Christian group at school...cause we spend atleast 6hours a day at school 5 times a week. So 30hours a week is spent in school...thats heaps of time at school compared to the time at church and worshipping God! Shouldn't we also be helping others to seek God too and be his friend?:D
So...why not bring God to school and praise him there too!

I know it'll be quite hard to setup and all but I was inspired by someone at another school, her and her friends set up a christian group called 'inspire'. They share stories and Gods words(Bible), sing praises to Him and glorify Him at school! It was...so xbqunwidks... amazing, indescribable with words jusy reading about what they do!!
I had that light-bulb moment and I believe that God has sent me a vision to help non-believers at my school to encounter Him :)

So to all you reading this! I need an original name to start it up, some ideas were;
-Impact
-Revolution
-Outbreak
...yes I know, not many ideas t.t so...I need your help:) hehe can comment your suggestions of a group name, down below in the comments section:))

Prayers and suggestions to the new group would be wonderful! Please pray for me to be able to find the strength and time even in the exam period to set up a group with supportive people, and to be able to spread Gods word all over school!:)

Shoes to fill.

Hola! :) how've y'all been? Ohohoh well...its been careers week and stuff, deciding what to do...

Few days ago, I came across an article about;
don't we follow our parents footsteps into their desired future for us. They care about us and want us to be more successful than they were, so, providing their own knowledge for us to learn from them. For example, Whitney Houston is a famous singer, her mother is Cissy Houston, a gospel singer. Don't you think her mum would've had an influence on her to pursue a musical career? Do your parents put this pressure onto you? Are you inspired by your parents to do what they want?

I think I am somewhat inspired by my birth parents but if we look at it in a different persepctive, towards our Father in heaven. He is our heavenly father and is different to our earthly parents, but he is similar in particular way.
He wants us to follow his footsteps of being pure.


Lev 19:2 "Speak to the entire assembly of Israel and say to them: 'Be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy.

He wants us to be holy and pure like him, in everything we do and whatever career we may pursue in our lives, God wants us to be pure like him. He even sent the Holyspirit to help us and be with us always.
Well, I think our parents have an influence, and in my case, my brother has a big influence on my future...but we should pursue the will of our Heavenly Father by staying pure in everything we do because he is all we need. He'll grant us eternal life in heaven with Him :) so don't worry cause I'm sure he'll be happy for us and support us in whatever path we might take!

Now...Ask yourself, are you following in God's footsteps? If so, how are you doing this? If not, how can you do so?

Let us pray, to learn how to follow in his footsteps and be more like him:)
Ask in a simple prayer; help me Lord, to follow you and do your will and keep my purity. Amen.

Have an amazing day everyone! Stop stressing about your future (if you are right now) and leave everything to God:) follow his footsteps!

What my parents want me to specialise in; to enter the medical field and become a dentist alongside my brother, a dental technician. I think God has a masterplan for me and he's preparing me right now so I am capable to do all he has planned:) hehe exciting stuffs!!
